The trek from Florida to Ohio starts on Wednesday!
Yes, we are making the trip from Central Florida to Nelson Ledges in Ohio for the 2019 edition of 944Fest. Accompanied by Nort Northam of the Nort Northam Collection in Winter Park, we are taking two cars to the event.
We are bringing a 944S with a 3.0 Liter transplant and our own 924S – Sparky – to Ohio. Both cars are going to Ohio on trailers – Sparky does not have cruise control, which can cause some right leg pain without very frequent stops. The new 924S944.com Nissan truck is a lot more comfortable, and it has a nice cruise control setup.
The 944S 3.0 is an interesting car. We have spent the last few weeks prepping it for HPDE and Autocross – four-point roll bar, Corbeau race seats, slicks, and other such things. And it will be for sale! Nort Northam, champion racer in 944 Cup and veteran of sixteen Rolex 24 races at Daytona will be putting it on track on Friday.
So this is a one thousand mile trip each way – and worth it. Drop by and see us!
