924S944.com Autocross Series 2021

Compete for the 924S944.com Cup in 2021 while competing in the Florida Citrus Region PCA Autocross Series!

In conjunction with the Florida Citrus Region Porsche Club of America (Orlando),in 2021  we are announcing an Autocross Series for 924, 944, 924S and 968 cars.  Grouped into classes, drivers will compete against each other throughout 2021 to win the 924S944.com Cup.

The Florida Citrus Region PCA runs 6-8 autocross events each year in its own championship.  In 2021, the 924S944.com Cup will run in conjunction with the monthly FLC PCA Autocross.  Competitors will earn points to be totaled at the end of year and the award of trophies in the 944 classes.

Classes will be separated by STOCK, PREPARED and RACING designations and generally follow the PCA classifications.  SA will be STOCK A CLASS with 924, 931, 924S, and normally aspirated 2.5L 944’s.  PA will be those cars in the PREPARED class.  SB will be STOCK B CLASS with 951, 944 2.7L, 944S, 944S2 and 968’s.  928’s will also run in CLASS B.  PB will be PREPARED B CLASS cars.  RA will contain race cars that fall into the A class, RB for race cars that fall into the B class.  OUTLAWS, LSx and Audi Conversions, etc. are welcome and will be classified in the RACE classes.  As the season progresses, there may be changes made to the classifications.

So what is STOCK vs. PREPARED?  Stock is just what it sounds like – stock as delivered from the dealership when new.  Anything that is not as delivered will be considered PREPARED, including tires with UTOG ratings under 200, aftermarket shocks, bigger sway bars – you see where this is going.

Florida Citrus Region Autocross Events are normally held at the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Training Facility at 130000 Frankies Road in Tavares.  This facility has a large flat paved area for our events.  Partnered with the Martin Sports Car Club, the layouts are well planned with electronic timing and a variety of layouts.  When there are scheduling issues, the club has used the Orange County Convention Center parking area for an occasional alternative site.

If you are an experienced autocrosser, you know the Florida Citrus Region PCA series offers friendly competition and great camaraderie. If you have not done an autocross, please join us. We offer a fun, safe environment in which you can drive your Porsche the way the engineers designed it. We welcome novices and young drivers (over 16 with a valid license).
