As a member of the Porsche Club of America, I get notifications from time to time of their “News Updates.” This one appeared this week saying that the 1988 Porsche 924S “Special Edition” is the one we should all be shopping for.
The article tells the story of the approximately 990 924S SE cars that were produced, with 500 or so coming to North America. They were offered in black with no sunroof, manual window cranks, a manual outside mirror, grey cloth seat fabric and maroon carpets. The suspension was adjustable, and they were lighter than the stock 1988 924S.
We have had five of them at 924S944.com, and currently have two.
